Keracare Hair Care
Relaxer Rules 1. If your hair is already relaxed, when having a touch up done, only relax the roots and not the whole head, to avoid breaking and damaging your hair. 2. Do not colour the hair for a week prior to or after you relax your hair as it can cause breaks in the hair and scabbing of the scalp. 3. Try to avoid over heating your hair. Instead of blowdrying your hair, wrap it tightly around your head and pin it down. In addition, instead of using an iron, opt for rollers once in a while and sit under a hooded hair dryer. 4. Condition and apply treatment to your relaxed hair every seven days. This will: Restore moisture, smooth cuticles, add shine, protect from heated styling appliances, strengthen and make the hair more manageable and easy to style. 5. Since conditioners are so important invest in two different conditioners, so you can alternate between the two meaning your hair doesn’t reject one. 6. Every eight weeks, get your relaxed hair trimmed, as it is a necessity. 7. Choose your relaxer carefully, as there are different types of relaxers, the reason for this is so that everyone can choose a relaxer which is perfect for there hair and its individuality. 8. Do not over wash your hair as you will wash out natural oils. 9. NEVER leave a relaxer on for too long as the effects are not good, not good at all. 10. Not many people know this but it is almost a sin if you do it …Don’t brush or comb your hair vigorously before you apply a relaxer.
